How did you lose baby weight?
I am 22, my daughter was born a few days after Christmas…she is my second child..I was 130 lbs before I got pregnant. I weighed 148 lbs when she was born… …I now weigh 165 lbs… I breastfed for 6 months and lost no weight…..I’m sure it didn’t help that I craved triple cheese burgers from wendy’s while pregnant….But, I don’t understand why the weight won’t come off…I will lose like 5 lbs but just gain it back in a few days….I try to do 30 minutes of my kickboxing/dancing dvd 3 times a week…but that doesn’t seem to help…and it doesn’t even seem like i am losing fat and building muscle either….what worked for ya’lls and how long did it take to lose the baby weight?
I currently have the same deilima. However I haven’t lost patience yet, I gave birth just 6 weeks ago and I am 32. I was 136 prepregnancy and went up to 181. Including baby weight and whatnot, I have lost 25lbs, I am now at 156. I still have 20lbs and am losing about 0.5 to 1lb per week. But I put in much more physical activity. I have a treadmill and gratefully baby loves the sling I wear and will nurse and sleep in it while I walk. I spend over an hour each day, about 90 minutes or more, usually up to 5 miles per day. Then I also try to fit in some strength training, I make sure I work on my abs each and every day. The pounds are coming off slowly, (I also breastfeed exclusively) but steadily.
I would increase your workouts to NO LESS than 45 minutes each and every day. With a very intensive workout 3-4 times per week. The first week you may not notice a difference in the scale but you will after the second week. Also but a measuring tape, plastic like ou find in craft stores and measure your waist and hips. Keep track each week, if the scale doesn’t budge but your inches are decreasing then you know that you are losing fat but gaining muscle and that can tell you why your numbers are slow to budge on the scale.
Also try to do a different workout each week. After the routine on the DVD your may have reached a plateau and your body is used to the workout, you are no longer challenging yourself. If you have a DVR it may be helpful to “Tivo” some of the programs on FiTV. You can record them and workout when it is convienent for you. I have been getting Gilad’s Total Body Sculpt and All Star Workouts. Each program is differnet and so is each episode, enough to keep you challenging yourself.
Good Luck!!
